Accommodation

For students finding accommodation in a country out of the borders can be challenging. Therefore, Universities offers two student hostels, Dormitories for International students for which student need to pay nominal charges for the same and have to book & payments have to be done prior to the arrival. There are institutions which don’t provide international students with accommodation option –in such cases student have to look for accommodation on their own. You can also ask the foreign student advisor at your chosen university for advice.

For student who does not wish to stay at university accommodation or in cases wherein university accommodation is not available, there are several student hostels; however places are limited and have to be booked well in advance. There are several agencies in Riga which can help also with private housing arrangements.

Latvia offers a broad range of accommodation. For those who value comfort and high quality, luxury hotels are available in Riga and other Latvian cities and towns, while those who wish to enjoy rural calm and relaxation in nature can choose a remote guesthouse or campsite in the Latvian countryside.
